Second Phase Of Grenfell Tower Enquiry Opens
Updated: Mar 15, 2020
The second phase of the Grenfelll Tower enquiry has now opened and the Enquiry has opened and The Independent has reported that the cladding manufacturer knew in as early as 2011 that the panels were not suitable for use on building facades.
There are a large number of tower blocks around the country still with potentially dangerous cladding on presenting a risk to the residents within.
From 20 March 2020, the scope of the Homes (fitness for human habitation) Act 2018 widens to ensure that most existing tenancies will be deemed to be in disrepair in the event that they are unsafe in live in.
We believe that everyone is entitled to live in a safe and decent home. We would love to hear from any tenants concerned about cladding on their properties.
